​2012 Lyceum        The competition proposed the installation of an educational compound located at an abandoned granite quarry in Barr, West Virginia as the project site.  The program required dwellings, artist studios, an orientation area, an educational center and a memorial.  My concept utilized the historical implications of the site as a trajectory into the new development.  Granite that was quarried out for the needs of the program were reused to create the memorial, while the remaining granite walls became the envelope of the new buildings.
