DDBC6

DDBC6 is a HUD house is the sixth in a series of seven total house located in a donated lot in the Barrio Santonio in South Tucson. The house was constructed over the course of two semesters of studio classes, and is based upon a design that utilizes the sustainable concepts of solar mass and water harvesting, both grey and rain, to create a house that would be both affordable and comfortable for its occupants. My participation in the construction took place during the second half of construction, after the initial framing and rammed earth wall construction was complete. In addition to being a member of the construction team, my  role included that of the 'Inspection Liaison', due to my previous experience in home construction.
