​Desert Pavilion

The desert pavilion is a timber framed shade structure based upon a concept which examines the reliance of one structural grid upon the other. The pin connection at the ground level of each column is not capable of withstanding the load individually, but within a system, the row of columns becomes much stronger and is thus able to withstand larger loads.
